Added by Chris Scott: Wreck is possibly in Normans Bay, Pevensey. But wreck could be either HMS Resolution or a Dutch 1650’s ship. Timber not from UK but there are records of some imported timber used in Harwich. There are over 50 guns on the site I believe the site could be confirmed from the study of the cannons. As far as I know none have not been recovered or cleaned. Will try to find out. If we can prove it is the Harwich ship that would be an amazing outcome.
